The McGraw sisters (Violet McGraw and Madeleine McGraw), who are primarily known for their roles in horror, will be departing from that trend for an upcoming holiday film. This unnamed film will begin shooting in Las Vegas next month, and it will be combining two Christmas classics, Home Alone and Die Hard.
The older sister, Madeleine, found her breakout role in The Black Phone as Finney’s sister Gwen. Her performance in The Black Phone earned her critical acclaim. The younger of the two sisters, Violet, has had roles in both The Haunting of Hill House and M3GAN.
The upcoming Christmas film will be directed by Shaun Piccinino, who recently helmed California Christmas along with its sequel. Violet, Madeleine, and their mother are all producers of the film among others. The film is being written by John Ducey.
In addition to this upcoming film, both sisters have individual projects that they are working on, both sequels to their previous films: The Black Phone 2 for Madeleine and M3GAN 2.0 for Violet.
It will be fun to see the two sisters share the screen. Both create a strong presence on the screen and so their sisterly chemistry together should be electric.
