Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ Pulled from Release Lineup

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, officially confirmed what has been widely speculated for little while now – their upcoming film property Inhumans will not commence, at least not for the time being. Back in October 2014, Inhumans – centering on a royal family of superheros – was announced for a big screen outing, joining the lucrative Marvel Cinematic Universe. A busy slate that includes a revamped Spider-Man as well as a slew of over tentpoles at parent Disney appears to have pushed Inhumans further into the future.

In an interview with Collider, Feige stated:

Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big joyous coup for us. We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it’s on right now. How far down it shuffles, I’m not sure yet.

Still, Inhumans may one day make it onto the big screen, just isn’t presently confirmed. Marvel is currently underway with Captain America: Civil War heading to theaters on May 6th.
