Mackenzie Davis to Star in Indie Comedy ‘Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town’

Rising actress Mackenzie Davis (The Martian) has been cast to star in the new indie comedy Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town. In a similar vein of this past year’s Trainwreck and Tangerine, the film centers on a woman whose life seems to have hit rock bottom, seeing her follow an anti-hero’s journey as she treks across Los Angeles to crash her ex-boyfriend’s engagement party.

Christian Papierniak is directing as his second feature film (his first, The Get, is now in post-production). He will also be producing alongside Davis, his The Get star Meghan Lennox, and Melissa Panzer. The film will also star Haley Joel Osment (Entourage), Carrie Coon (Gone Girl), Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder), Rob Huebel (TV’s The League), Alex Russell (Chronicle), Alia Shawkat (TV’s Arrested Development), and newcomer Bobby Lamont.

Davis most recently appeared in Ridley Scott‘s The Martian and currently stars in the AMC series Halt and Catch Fire. Her other credits include co-starring in 2014’s That Awkward Moment and 2013’s What If. She will next be seen in the indie-thriller Always Shine.
