Luke Wilson (The Skeleton Twins, Idiocracy) has signed on to join Olivia Wilde (Drinking Buddies, Rush) in the psychological thriller Meadowland, according to multiple media reports. Wilde will produce and star in the film, which also includes Elisabeth Moss (The One I Love, AMC’s Mad Men) and Natasha Lyonne (Girl Most Likely, Netflix’s Orange is the New Black).
Chris Rossi penned the script which sees Wilde as Sarah, a mother who heads down a dangerous path following the disappearance of her son. Wilson will play her police officer husband, while Moss and Lyonne’s roles have not yet been disclosed.
Meadowland will be helmed by first time director Reed Morano, who served as a cinematographer on The Place Beyond the Pines and Kill Your Darlings.
Meadowland is currently in pre-production, however Olivia Wilde will be in the romantic comedy The Longest Week which hits theaters on September 5, while Luke Wilson will appear with Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader in The Skeleton Twins on September 12.
