Lionsgate has recently promoted two executives to lead its growing transactional home entertainment business. Both Adam Frank and Jill Anderson have the experience and eagerness to propel themselves into this new direction after years in distribution.
Each executive has been given newer responsibilities to expand its reach and grow its home entertainment business. Before his promotion, Frank was the senior VP of Lionsgate International EST and VOD transactional businesses. Now, he will act as the executive VP of global sales and distribution management. Frank will continue to answer to Ron Schwartz, the president of global licensing and distribution while heading sales of international transactional packages for its home entertainment industry.
On the other hand, Anderson will work as the head of home entertainment sales and partner management. In the past, Anderson was responsible for Lionsgate’s largest retail accounts, overseeing packaged tentpole media and sell-through sales She will report to Frank as she manages digital home entertainment sales while continuing her prior duties.
These new promotions are born from Lionsgate continuous growth in the home entertainment industry, especially with an 11.9% industry share in the first half of the year thanks to new and tentpole releases. Since this is the highest six-month share in its history, many higher-ups are eager to continue its strong growth in the future. Ron Schwartz has sung Frank and Anderson’s praises due to their more than decade-long careers as sales executives. “With their strong relationships, industry expertise, and business acumen, they will help lead its continued growth while capitalizing on new opportunities moving forward,” Schwartz says.
There is no solid news about the kinds of changes Anderson and Frank will enact in their new industry, but needless to say, Lionsgate will grow and flourish, sharing its media around the world directly to their homes.
