It was announced recently that indie distributor The Film Arcade has struck a deal with Paramount Home Media Distribution to release Constantin Films’ Love, Rosie starring Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror, Stuck in Love) and Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) in the United States.
Based on the international bestselling novel Where Rainbows End by author Cecelia Ahern (PS I Love You), the story puts a modern spin on the classic comedy-of-errors genre. Two friends who have known each other since childhood (Collins and Claflin) are kept apart by one missed opportunity at 18, which leads to their lives spiraling in two different directions. The question to be answered is how these two star-crossed lovers will reconnect over the time, space and, continents that have come between them.
“We are excited to bring this delightfully romantic and engaging comedy to audiences” said Syrinthia Studer, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Acquisitions at Paramount Home Media Distribution. “Lily Collins and Sam Claflin are sensational and this film delivers both a modern and heartwarming story that we believe audiences will wholeheartedly embrace.”
Directed by Christine Ditter (Vicky and the Treasure of God), produced by Robert Kulzer (The Mortal Instruments: The City of Bones) and Simon Brooke (White Noise), Love, Rosie is set to hit the U.S in early 2015. Check out the trailer below:
