Letitia Wright Hints At The Return Of Shuri From ‘Black Panther’ In Marvel’s Future

Letitia Wright teased a potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) of her character, Shuri, who was first seen in Black Panther. 

 

According to Deadline, Wright was asked about her future with the MCU during an interview on The View to promote her latest movie. To which Wright responded, “If it’s, uh, let’s just say, let’s just say… I would like to continue with Shuri. She’s one of my favorite characters, such a blessing, honestly, I kid you not. I’m so grateful for her.”

 

Shuri first appeared in the 2018 film, Black Panther. She is a tech-savvy teen, the princess of Wakanda, and the sister of T’Challa (Black Panther) who was played by Chadwick Boseman. Wright reprised the role for 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War as well as the follow-up in 2019 Avengers:Endgame. Shuri took on a larger role in the latest Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where she took over the role of Black Panther after the death of Boseman. 

 

Should Shuri and Wright make a reappearance in Marvel Films, the next opportunity will be Avengers 5 set to be released in May 2026.  The next opportunity for a return will come the following year with the release of of Avengers: Secret Wars.
