Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are set to star in the legendary Martin Scorsese’s next film, titled What Happens At Night.
The film is an adaptation of the ghost novel What Happens At Night, which follows a married couple who travel to Europe to adopt a baby. They stay in an immense, fading European hotel, filled with unconventional guests. The screenplay is by Patrick Marber. Apple Original Films is in talks to finance and produce the film with Studiocanal.
This will be the first collaboration between Lawrence and Scorsese as a director, as he was a producer on Lawrence’s upcoming film, Die, My Love. DiCaprio last worked with the famed director on the Apple feature Killers of the Flower Moon. This is the second collaboration between the leads, as they previously worked together in Netflix’s Don’t Look Up.
DiCaprio can be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson’s movie, One Battle After Another, which is in theaters now. Die, My Love, featuring Lawrence, is scheduled to release in theaters on November 7 of this year. This news comes as Scorsese has a few projects in development, including a Hawaii-set crime drama featuring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.
