Lacey Chabert Sparks Romance With a Magical Snowman in Netflix’s ‘Hot Frosty’ Trailer

Netflix is kicking off the holiday season with a frosty twist in its upcoming rom-com, Hot Frosty. The trailer, released recently, gives a glimpse into a magical love story featuring Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan in an unusual winter romance.

Directed by Jerry Ciccoritti, Hot Frosty is set to premiere on November 13, right in time for the holiday binge-watching season. Chabert stars as Kathy, a widow navigating a difficult period in her life until a magical scarf brings a snowman, Jack (played by Milligan), to life. What starts as a wintry surprise soon turns into a budding romance, with one slight hiccup—Jack is on borrowed time before he melts away.

In the trailer, viewers get a taste of the comedic tone as Kathy remarks to the newly transformed snowman, “Clearly, you’ve been doing your push-ups.” The playful banter continues as Jack later confides in a neighbor, saying, “I’ve never been on a date before. I need your help with Kathy.”

The film also features an ensemble cast that includes Craig Robinson, Katy Mixon, Lauren Holly, Joe Lo Truglio and Chrishell Stause, adding to the holiday cheer. The screenplay, written by Russell Hainline, is produced by Joel S. Rice and Michael Barbuto.

Hot Frosty is part of Netflix’s larger holiday movie lineup, which includes other festive releases such as Meet Me Next Christmas, starring Christina Milian (premiering on November 6), and Our Little Secret, led by Lindsay Lohan, set to debut on November 27.

Chabert, a fan favorite for her roles in Mean Girls and Party of Five, is no stranger to holiday films, having headlined numerous Hallmark Channel rom-coms. Milligan, known for his roles in Schitt’s Creek and Rutherford Falls, adds to his diverse filmography with this quirky seasonal flick.
