After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground! pic.twitter.com/M5gSnW9E5h

Just hours after suffering a massive heart attack, director Kevin Smith, not only tweeted about the sudden event, but also delivered a surprising selfie. Known for writing and directing films, like Clerks, Jersey Girl, and Hollyweed (a TV Movie in post-production), Smith is prolific in the world of cinema.
“After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack,” he said in a tweet on Sunday evening. “The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I he would have died. But for now, I’m still above ground!”
There is no confirmation on his condition at this time. Hopefully he has a healing and swift recovery from his heart attack.
