Kevin Hart is back at it again as the comedian and actor pitched a unique superhero comedy entitled Night Wolf to STXfilms according to Deadline. The project will feature Hart as the star and source him as a producer through his company HartBeat Productions.
The story of Night Wolf follows Hart’s character meeting his future in-law for the first time, only for his soon-to-be family member to discover his secret identity as the renowned superhero known as the “Night Wolf.”
Hart previously starred in the box office coup The Upside under STX back in January. Earlier this year, STX announced that the studio would partner with HartBeat Productions to compile two new comedy projects, both of which Hart would helm. Night Wolf is currently the third feature the studio would be developing. STX initially announced that Black Friday and an untitled romantic comedy featuring Hart would be on the docket. HartBeat’s production team will be supervised by STXfilms SVP of Production Drew Simon.
STXfilms has a already full slate with films such as Hustlers, Countdown, 21 Bridges, Playmobil, Brahms: The Boy II, My Spy, and The Gentlemen are all expected to drop in the fourth quarter of 2019. Hart’s next film is the upcoming sequel Jumanji: The Next Level slated for a December 13th release.
