Kevin Costner’s New Role After ‘Horizon’ Wraps Will Be ‘Headhunters’

Kevin Costner has already set his sights on a new project, once he finishes up his work on Horizon. The new film will be titled Headhunters.

Horizon has been Costner’s main project for some time now, with him going as far as to finance the film himself. Horizon: An American Saga chronicles a 15 year period in the Old West, focusing specifically on the build up to and fallout of the Civil War.

Costner is set to direct and star in all four films in the series, which currently have only part one in circulation. The second installment was slated to release in August, but the theatrical release was canceled following poor box office returns for Part One.

Headhunters sees a man try to find a perfect wave for surfing, but after gathering a group to look for one off of an unmapped island, what they find there proves more of a challenge than any wave would.

As Deadline reports, while Costner is set to star as well as co-produce, Steven Holleran will take up directing. This is his first time sitting in the directors chair, after working on cinematography for films such as Missing and Sympathy For The Devil. The only other confirmed cast member, aside from Costner, is Daniel Zovatto.
