Kevin Bacon Is Developing A New Movie With His Family

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are developing a new horror comedy that will be a family affair. The movie, aptly named Family Movie, will be directed by Bacon and Sedgwick. The pair will star in the movie alongside their children, Sosie and Travis Bacon.

Kevin Bacon is known for his early roles in Footloose and The Woodsman, but he is no stranger to horror. He starred in films such as Friday the 13th, Tremors, and more recently, MaXXXine. Kyra Sedgewick is an actor in  her own right, and she is best known for her role in the television series The Closer. Sosie Bacon is the breakout star of the 2022 horror hit, Smile. Travis Bacon is a music composer for numerous movies.

The movie will reunite Kevin Bacon and Sedgewick on screen for the first time since The Woodsman, which was released 20 years ago. This makes the project significant for the two actors and could cement the family’s acting legacy.

The entire Bacon family will produce the movie for Mixed Breed Films, with Norman Golighty producing for Dark Castle Entertainment. Family Movie “follows an eclectic but tight-knit family of filmmakers who suddenly find themselves in a real-life horror movie when a body turns up on the set of their latest low-budget slasher.”
