Keanu Reeves is not shy to the sci-fi world with The Matrix proving successful and Johnny Mnemonic not so much. His new film titled Replicas brings him back to the science world as a synthetic biologist who makes a daring decision to clone his family after they are killed in a car accident. This brings the attention of the government, a police task force, and altercations with the physical law of science. Directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (co-developer of TV’s Legends) and written by Stephen Hamel (Henry’s Crime) and Chad St. John (London Has Fallen) the film looks to bring the story of a scientist who will do anything to save his family.
The cast includes Alice Eve (Untogether), Thomas Middleditch (Henchmen), Emily Alyn Lind (The Babysitter), Emjay Anthony (Bad Moms), and John Ortiz (Kong: Skull Island). Principal Photography began in Puerto Rico on August 2016 and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this past September.
The film will be released sometime in 2018 with no official date set. Check it out below!
