After being interviewed in a recent New York Magazine, actress Kate Hudson shared her opinion regarding nepotism babies since Hudson herself comes from a very recognized family in the entertainment business.
Hudson begins by describing her feelings toward the situation, saying that nepotism is real but believes it “doesn’t matter” and that it happens more in other industries.
Hudson was one of many performers highlighted in a feature of New York’s ‘nepo’ babies feature. Hudson is the daughter of actors Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Alongside her parents, she has several siblings in the entertainment industry, including Wyatt Russell and Oliver Hudson. Hudson is currently engaged to director Danny Fujikawa.
Variety writes how Hudson expresses her opinion regarding the nepo babies situation by saying, “I actually think there are other industries where it’s [more common]. Maybe modeling?” she said. “I see it in business way more than I see it in Hollywood. Sometimes I’ve been in business meetings where I’m like, wait, whose child is this? Like, this person knows nothing!”
Hudson believes that being a nepotism baby doesn’t matter and that she could care less about a person’s historical relationship in the entertainment business. Hudson says, “If you work hard and you kill it, it doesn’t matter.”
Hudson is one of many nepotism babies. Some others include Jamie Lee Curtis, Dakota Johnson, and many more.
