

Jurassic World Rebirth hit theaters on Wednesday July 3rd. The Spielberg based franchise had its newest movie release over a long holiday weekend. The extra days brought high hopes for the box office numbers. The numbers are in and Rebirth saw quite a successful debut.
According to CNN, the movie grossed $147 million domestically during its first five days in theaters. That’s $10 million more than what was projected. Box Office Mojo gathered that the movie has brought in over $318 million worldwide. Also the movie has helped up numbers at the box office as it is 14% higher than it was this time last year.
Rebirth is the fourth installment in the Jurassic World movies. With a new cast and and more dinosaurs, there could be more movies in the franchise. However, nothing has been confirmed and it may be too early for Universal to tell. If the past is any indication, the franchise seems far from extinct.
