

After the Hunt, a new thriller feature from Challengers and Queer director Luca Guadagnino gets a prime awards season slot from Amazon MGM Studios. The film is set to launch in a limited theatrical release on Oct.10, expanding the theater count the following week.
Julia Roberts leads the cast including Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny. Also set for nationwide release on Oct. 17, are Universal’s horror sequel The Black Phone 2 and Lionsgate’s comedy directed by Aziz Ansari Good Fortune that stars Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer.
From Imagine Entertainment, After the Hunt follows a college professor, played by Roberts, forced to address her dark past when a prominent student, played by Edebiri, makes an accusation against one of her colleagues, played by Garfield.
Guadanino directs a script from Nora Garrett. Guadanino, Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody and Allan Mandelbaum. Imagine’s Mandelbaum brought the script to the production company and worked with CAA to land Roberts and Guadagnino.
Guadagnino reunites with Amazon MGM Studios with After the Hunt. Roberts recently starred in the Universal romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise alongside George Clooney and in the Netflix thriller Leave the World Behind co-starring with Mahershala Ali and Ethan Hawke.
