Featuring an FBI agent who goes undercover in a prison and then is forced to escape, the star-studded indie adaptation Three Seconds will now include Josh Brolin, Olivia Munn, and Maggie Gyllenhaal alongside Luke Evans and David Oyelowo. The movie is based on the Swedish novel of the same name by Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom.
Evans is set to play the protagonist FBI agent who, after going undercover for a mission in the prison, is forced to escape on his own after being abandoned in the prison mid-mission. Maggie Gyllenhaal will play another FBI agent who has a history with Evans’ character while Josh Brolin plays her supervisor. Olivia Munn will take on the role of Evans’ character’s wife and the mother of his child.
Otto Bathurst is directing the movie from an adapted script by Matt Cook and Rowan Joffe. Three Seconds will be a reunion for Brolin and Bathurst, who both worked on Sicario, recently out of Cannes. Brolin has also recently finished production on Everest and the Coen brothers’ Hail, Caesar! Maggie Gyllenhaal was most recently seen on the television mini-series The Honourable Woman, while Olivia Munn is also taking on roles in three other upcoming movies: Ride Along 2, Zoolander 2, and X-Men: Apocalypse.
Three Seconds has no set release date as of yet.
