Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Star in Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Sovereign’

According to Deadline, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to star in the 21 Laps Entertainment and Sierra/Affinity film, Sovereign. The film will be directed by Marc Munden. Munden is also a big TV director in the UK working on a mini-series entitled National Treasure and The Crimson Petal and the White. He previously worked on the British TV series Utopia as well as an Iraq war series The Mark of Cain. 

Jack Throne, a UK writer who’s known for writing the screen play for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child originally written by Harry Potter creator, J.K. Rowling. Gordon-Levitt will play a man attempting to find his wife to repair their broken marriage, only to find out that his wife and his whole space team have gone AWOL. While he figures out the mystery he must confront his own truth, that he played a part in her disappearance.

Gordon-Levitt is quite in demand today. Not only is he starring in Snowden, directed by Oliver Stone, he is also working in the early production stages of Fraggle Rock, a New Regency production. Not to mention Universal’s In Sight and Amazon Film’s child company K Troop, a yet to be titled comedy musical co-starring Channing Tatum.

Sovereign has not yet announced a release date.
