The Ant-Man and Lovecraft Country star looks to return to Hollywood after a four-year hiatus with an unnamed action film shooting this week in South Carolina.
The film is being directed and written by Kyle Rankin (Run Hide Fight) and is being produced by Ben Shapiro’s production company, The Daily Wire. While the plot, other cast, and title are being kept under wraps, the story has been revealed to have a similar vibe to Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers.
While Ben Shapiro (The Ben Shapiro Show) and Dallas Sonnier (Bone Tomahawk) will headline the production for The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend. Travis Mills (Frontier Crucible), Lillian Campbell (The Pendragon Cycle), and Sydney Aucreman (Terror On The Prairie) will be secondary producers.
Majors’ career was on the rise with roles in movies like The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Creed III, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Magazine Dreams, as well as series such as HBO horror Lovecraft Country. He was let go from numerous projects after he was found guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend in 2023. The actor has been restoring his reputation since then and is also attached to star in the supernatural revenge thriller Merciless from Martin Villeneuve, which we first announced in the summer of 2024.
The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend have gone out of their way to provide opportunities to help revive the careers of ‘cancelled’ actors, including a comeback movie role for Armie Hammer and a rebound for Gina Carano after her exit from The Mandalorian.
