John Krasinski To Star In New ‘Jack Ryan’ Feature Film

A new Jack Ryan feature film is being developed by Amazon MGM studios. This next film in Tom Clancy’s franchise is set to star John Krasinski, who is known for his role in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan (the series on which the film is based), as well as The Office and A Quiet Place. Joining Krasinski is Wendell Pierce, who will be reprising his role as James Greer. Actor Michael Kelly is still in negotiations to reprise his role.

Andrew Bernstein will be directing the series. Bernstein previously worked as an executive producer on season 2 of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. The script has been written by Aaron Rabin, the co-executive producer of season 4 of the series.

David Ellison and Dana Goldberg of Skydance will serve as the film’s executive producers. Other producers include John Krasinski and Allyson Seeger (via Sunday Night) as well as Andrew Form, who has previously worked with Krasinski on both Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and the movie franchise A Quiet Place. The film is being produced in association with Paramount Pictures and Skydance.

The new film will be an extension of the Amazon Prime series, a series that has ranked as the top three most-watched globally. At this time, no release date has been announced.
