John Cena And Awkwafina Try To Survive In The New ‘Jackpot!’ Trailer

Amazon MGM just revealed the first trailer for their new film, Jackpot!, starring John Cena, Awkwafina, and Simu Liu.

Set in the not-so-distant future of 2030, Los Angeles has set up a “Grand Lottery”: a normal lottery until someone wins the jackpot. The catch? People can kill the jackpot winner to claim the multi-billion fortune for themselves legally. When Katie Kim (Awkwafina) moves to LA, she hopes to make it big as an actress. But she never expected to win the jackpot and have murderers hunt her down. Desperate to survive, Katie commissions lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy (Cena) to defend her. Alongside the mob of murderers, they must fight Louis Lewis (Simu Liu), Noel’s rival and owner of the largest lottery protection agency in LA, who also wants to secure that jackpot for himself.

This film seems to be in good hands, considering the head creative team are veterans in the entertainment industry. Paul Feig (Ghostbusters, The School of Good and Evil, Spy) directs this action-comedy, while Rob Yescombe (Outside the Wire, Rime, The Invisible Hours) will pen the script.
