The Joe Lynch (Everly) directed, Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) starring Mayhem is currently in production. According to Variety and other sources, the film “tells the story of a virus that infects a corporate law office on the day attorney Derek Saunders (Yeun) is framed by a co-worker and wrongfully fired”. Avva Pictures is financing the movie, with Mehrdad Elie also producing.
Lynch said about the film, “It’s not every day you get to throw action, sci-fi, horror, drama and even satire in the genre blender and hit puree, but Matias’ script, combined with a gung-ho cast and crew – especially Steven and Samara – will make for a deliciously dangerous and exciting cinematic smoothie…with a hell of a kick”. The film also stars Samara Weaving (Mystery Road) and Dallas Roberts (3:10 to Yuma).
Steven Yeun recently appeared with Late Night funnyman Conan O’ Brien in “Fire”, a K-Pop video with J.Y. Park. The video went over 2.2 million views on Youtube, according to Deadline.
According to Fansshare and corroborated by IMDB, “the movie is still awaiting an official release date”. Variety reported in March that filming was set to begin later that month in Belgrade, Serbia.
