Jeremy Renner Says He’s Home Following Hospital Recovery Time After Snowplow Incident

Avenger and star of Mayor of Kingston Jeremy Renner is out of the hospital and is recovering at home following his New Year’s Day snowplow accident, which left him in critical condition. On Monday, Renner announced he was home on Monday night and watching the season 2 premiere of his show Mayor of Kingstown by tweeting, “outside my brain fog in recovery, I was excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home.”

Renner was in the hospital since Jan. 1 after helping a family member stuck in the snow with his snowplow outside his Lake Tahoe home. He suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries, which required two surgeries.

A two-time Oscar nominee, Renner stars in the Paramount+ series The Mayor of Kingstown and Marvel’s Hawkeye series on Disney+. He has also been in the Avengers and Captain America films, with notable credits in Hurt Locker and Wind River.

Previous Update: Renner celebrated his 52nd birthday in the hospital on Friday and updated fans via Instagram Stories.

Surrounded by medical staff, he wrote, “Thank you Renowned Medical ICU team for beginning this journey” and included four “hands-in-prayer” emojis.
