According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jeffrey Wright (HBO’s Westworld) is the latest addition to the cast of Game Night. The New Line comedy is about a group of couples getting together for their regular game night, except this one turns out to involve the group in a real murder mystery.
Jason Bateman (Office Christmas Party) and Emmy winner Kyle Chandler (Manchester by the Sea) play brothers. Wright will play an FBI agent. Oscar-nominated actress Rachel McAdams (Spotlight) also stars along with Jesse Plemons (Other People), Kylie Bunbury (The Sitter), Joshua Mikel (Independence Day: Resurgence), Lamorne Morris (New Girl), Michael Cyril Creighton (Spotlight) and Billy Magnussen (Bridge of Spies).
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldsten, who together helmed 2015’s Vacation, are co-directors as well as co-script writers. Previous drafts were written by Dana Fox and Mark Perez.
Wright plays mysterious programmer Bernard Lowe on HBO’s critically acclaimed Westworld, which has been renewed for a second season. He is current shooting Hold the Dark, Jeremy Saulnier’s (Green Room) new thriller.
Game Night starts shooting this month in Atlanta and will be in theatrical release starting February 16, 2018.
