Now that Halloween is finally here, many are still thinking about next year’s plans for the spooky holiday. This includes filmmakers as David Gordon Green and his crew are still in the middle of production of the next installment of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode’s never ending battle. Halloween Kills is the next film in the Halloween franchise. Kills will not only be continuation of the 2018 reboot, but the film will also have another follow up set for release the following year with Halloween Ends. In celebration of the holiday and to hype fans up for the next film, Jamie Lee Curtis released a new look for the upcoming sequel.
Jamie Lee Curtis posted on her twitter page a short video showcasing the production of the next Halloween film. The video shows off a few small shots of the film along with footage featuring the on set production of the revival’s sequel. The clip ends with Curtis in a hospital bed with some scars and bandages saying “Happy Halloween.” This could imply that Laurie Strode’s next battle with Michael Myers will be much more brutal than any other encounter she had with Myers before.
As mentioned earlier though, Halloween Kills will be the second in what will eventually be a trilogy of films by David Gordon Green and Blumhouse productions. Halloween Ends will be the follow up to Kills that is set to be the end of this current revival series of the John Carpenter film. Despite the fact that Carpenter mentioned himself that Halloween Ends being the end of the Halloween franchise in general is very unlikely, many fans are curious to see how this upcoming new series will continue and conclude. Michael Myers himself may still be around after these next two films, but fans are still eager to witness what will most likely be the last showdown between him and Laurie Strode within the next two years.
Halloween Kills is set for release on October 16th 2020.
