‘Infinity War’ Ticket Sales Hit All-Time High First-Day Numbers

Today has been a big day for Earth’s mightiest heroes. Earlier this morning, they received a bombastic new trailer, which showcased characters from the beginning of the franchise such as Iron Man and Captain America, as well as newer faces such as Black Panther and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, who have earned critical acclaim in their respective films.

It seems like this trailer could not have been more well-timed! After only six hours, the sales for Avengers: Infinity War, Part One pre-order tickets have surpassed all other first-day earnings in their wake, Deadline reports. This even includes the Black Panther advance ticket sales, which made plenty of news for their quick and vast earnings. The Infinity War tickets also dethroned the DC movie Batman vs. Superman as far as its presales for its tickets went as well.

This could spell great news for Marvel, which is currently enjoying its eminence at the box office in the post-Black Panther world, showing that the trailer clearly made a positive mark on fans. The interest, according to a Fandango poll, can also be attributed in part to Black Panther’s success, as 60% of the audiences polled declared that the Wakandan film sparked more of their interest in the latest Avengers movie.

Avengers: Infinity War, Part One will hit theaters on April 27th.
