Actress-singer Idina Menzel, who voiced Elsa in Disney’s 2013 hit Frozen, confirmed in an interview with The Telegraph that its sequel is in planning stages. With the success of the first feature– spanning the box office, merchandise, two Academy Awards, an upcoming stage production, and short to premiere in theaters this Christmas– this news comes as no big surprise. Disney has not officially confirmed the announcement themselves, nor does Menzel know for certain whether or not Elsa will appear in the second installment. Regardless, this will be exciting news to the millions of Frozen fans young and old, including Menzel herself, who will again voice Elsa in the short entitled Frozen Fever. Until then, Disney Animation Studios have both Zootopia, and Moana due for 2016.
