With the upcoming Scary Movie 6, many people are likely wondering what characters will return from the previous films. One detail that can be confirmed is the return of the iconic Ghostface.
Actor Dave Sheridan confirmed this news in an interview with YouTuber Crazydog500 via Collider:
“The only thing I can 100% tell you is that Ghostface will return for Scary Movie 6 . Marlon [Wayans] already confirmed that by taking a photo with a Ghostface and that is not me in that photo. From what I know of the original script, it did fall in line with what Scary Movie did with really following the story of the [ Scream franchise], so this would be like Scream 5 and 6.”
Sheridan is known for his role in the original Scary Movie, in which he portrayed the Ghostface character.
While Scream will be a large influence for the upcoming Scary Movie 6, it is interesting to speculate what other movies will inspire the film. There are obviously many options from which to choose, such as Hereditary, Midsommar, Get Out, the Terrifier franchise, and so much more. It will be very interesting to see what the Wayans brothers cook up, as well as how Ghostface will play into that.
