Hugh Jackson Shares Behind The Scenes Images Of ‘The Death Of Robin Hood’ As Production Wraps In Ireland

Hugh Jackman has shared behind-the-scenes photos from the set of his upcoming project, The Death Of Robin Hood, as the adventure film wraps production, Collider reports.

Following the titular outlaw in his later years as he is trapped in the care of a mysterious woman after being badly injured and must grapple with his past of banditry and murder, this A24-produced project has recently completed filming in Ireland.

Jackman celebrated the event by posting several pictures from the set and the surrounding Irish landscape on Instagram, including a video of having his character’s hair and makeup removed. In addition, he wrote:

“There is a depth, a camaraderie, and a spirit to the entire cast and crew of The Death of Robin Hood. Thank you for this wonderful experience. It is an honor and a privilege. Thank you, Ireland!!! Your beauty knows no bounds.”

Directed by Michael Sarnoski, who previously helmed the indie film Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One, The Death Of Robin Hood is a passion project for the filmmaker, planned before he began work on the studio horror prequel. He stated,

“…I kind of made a deal with myself where, if I was gonna do a big studio movie, I wanted to make sure I had my smaller passion project in the wings that I could be thinking about. So, I wrote it right before writing this and have just kind of been playing with it in the background.”

Also starring Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, and Noah Jupe, The Death Of Robin Hood does not yet have a confirmed release date.
