Horses Go Wild In New Trailer For The Western ‘Broke’

Dennis Quaid and Wyatt Russell star in the Sony Pictures film that just released its first trailer. The western drama focuses on the wild and dangerous world of bronco riding. The trailer shows the conflictions Russell’s character faces in this rodeo career path. The trailer sets a somber and serious tone for the film.

Wyatt Russell plays True Brandywine and Dennis Quaid plays his father, George Brandywine. True is the center character focusing on his relationship with riding, friends and family, injuries and mostly what he wants to do with his life. Alongside Russell and Quaid are Auden Thornton, Mary McDonnell, Johnny Berchtold, Tom Skerritt and others (IMDb).

Screen Rant pointed out that the film’s writer and director, Carlyle Eubank, is making his directorial feature debut with the film. And Russell is gaining his first producer credit with the film. Broke has drawn some comparisons to the television show Yellowstone due to its western genre but some feel the trailer emphasizes the film as its own story. However, the genre may draw some Yellowstone fans to Broke and vice versa.

The film will be released on digital on May 6. In the meantime you can watch the trailer below.
