Twenty-six years ago, one of the most popular science-fiction films and best sequel was released. Terminator 2: Judgement Day. T2 is heading back to theaters in 4K restored 3D. Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as his most iconic character as the T-800 (Model 101), the terminator sent back through time to protect the leader of the resistance John Conner (Edward Furlong) when he was just a child. Sarah Conner (Linda Hamilton) is back as the mother who will do anything to protect her son from the machines of the future; the T-1000, a liquid metal killing machine played by Robert Patrick ( TV’s The X-Files).
T2 will be playing in theaters starting Thursday night and all throughout the weekend. Relive the awesome special effects that haven’t aged and still stand up to today’s standards, remember those iconic quotes that you will be saying once they happen and never forget the memorable theme. For people who saw this film 26 years ago, the newly restored film will be as you remembered it; and for the ones, including myself, who didn’t witness this film as it should be seen on the big screen, now’s your chance.
