The Brits will soon take over the big screen as breakout star Henry Golding and Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke join forces for a little holiday romance.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Paul Feig, director of this month’s A Simple Favor, has partnered with Universal Pictures to debut his new holiday film Last Christmas. Though the storyline is mainly kept under wraps, the film is centered around a romance during the holiday season in London. Emma Thompson, who starred in Love Actually, teamed up with Bryony Kimmings to adapt the screenplay; she will also co-produce the film.
Golding recently came to the public eye after his overwhelming success from his first acting role as Nick Young in Crazy Rich Asians. He also starred in Feig’s A Simple Favor, and this film will mark a well anticipated reunion for the two. Prior to his acting career, Golding was a presenter on BBC’s The Travel Show.
Clarke is most well known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen on the eight season Emmy-winning show Game of Thrones. In addition, Clarke also starred in the romance Me Before You alongside Sam Claflin and more recently starred in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
