A new Valentine’s Day themed horror movie is set to release just in time for the holiday, and the trailer has just appeared. The movie Heart Eyes stars Olivia Holt (Totally Killer) and Mason Gooding (Scream) as a new couple pursued by the “Heart Eyes Killer” on Valentine’s Day.

The trailer teases a cool killer design, good gore, and an interesting premise around Valentine’s Day. The tone of the trailer gives the impression that the film will be a horror comedy. This idea is reinforced by its categorization on IMDB as a whodunnit, comedy, and slasher horror.

The Heart Eyes Killer’s design is very fitting for their name. The mask appears to be made of a hard material, shaped around their head, and it has heart shaped eyes.

Heart Eyes is directed by Josh Ruben and written by Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon, and Michael Kennedy. The movie is rated R and set to release on February 7th in theaters.
