Hans Zimmer Returns to Score Patty Jenkins’ ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

Hans Zimmer has officially signed on to score the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 movie. The film stars Gal Gadot (Justice League) and Chris Pine (Star Trek, Hell or Highwater), and Patty Jenkins will return as director. The film follows Wonder Woman as she comes into conflict with the Soviet Union and faces the formidable foe, the Cheata (Kristen Wiig).

Zimmer previously created the Wonder Woman theme in the film Batman Vs. Superman, but Zimmer returning is big news since he previously announced in 2016 that he retired from the superhero business. Later he went on to say the following about his surprise comeback:

“Ron Howard actually said something very smart to me. He said, don’t say you will never do a superhero movie again, wait for somebody to turn up with an amazing script for a superhero movie, and I suppose that’s what I’m saying: Can I please have the amazing script?”

This must mean Zimmer has found the amazing script he had been looking for. Fans of Zimmer will be getting another excellent soundtrack to listen to when Wonder Woman 1984 comes out on November 1st, 2019.
