An upcoming animated film just landed a new slew of voice actors. Dubbed Grand Prix of Europe, the film just brought on Hayley Atwell, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Gemma Arterton.
The titular Grand Prix depicted is driven by mice, with the main character forced to drive in it herself if she hopes to aid her family.
On top of the trio already confirmed to be in the film, they’re joined as well by Lenny Henry. The film itself is directed by Waldemar Fast, who has worked mostly as an animator and visual effects artist. Outside of directing one short-film in 2005, this is his first feature directorial credit.
One of Atwells most recent roles was in the new Mission: Impossible film, Dead Reckoning. On top of that, she is slated to appear in the next film in the series, as well.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster’s resume includes the series of Maze Runner films, as well as a leading role in the TV series, The Artful Dodger. He also made regular appearances in the third and fourth seasons of Game Of Thrones as Jojen Reed.
Arterton appeared in the 2010 film Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time, as well as Byzantium and Clash Of The Titans. She was also nominated for a BAFTA, for the 2011 Rising Star award. She lost, however, to Tom Hardy.
As Hollywood Reporter notes, Grand Prix of Europe actually goes hand in hand with a European theme park, EuropaPark. The film itself marks EuropaPark’s first endeavor into film utilizing the mascots of the park as characters.
The film is expected to debut in certain European territories in 2025, with a confirmed North American release later on.
