Gal Gadot, known for her role in the murder mystery, Death on the Nile, and for portraying the iconic superhero, Wonder Woman, spoke out about how she wants to focus on her future after Wonder Woman 3 was cancelled. Gadot opened up about her next projects and what they will be like as she continues to make her way into the industry.

The heads of the DC Universe, Peter Safran, and James Gunn, withdrew from moving forward with the third installment of Wonder Woman for unknown reasons. When the news of the movie getting scrapped came to the knowledge of the public, leaving Gadot’s Wonder Woman future unclear, Gadot went to Twitter to share a sincere message to the fans:

Total Film received insight from Gadot as she discussed her future. Gadot expressed: “To me, starting and developing stories that I’m passionate about is an incredible thing.” She continues, “The fact that I don’t have to sit still at home and just wait for the next offer is something that makes me feel empowered. I enjoy doing it, it keeps me alive.”

Gadot stated, “I’m not only going to do my own projects, I’m going to work as an actress-for-hire still. But the fact that I can go ahead and tell the stories that I’m passionate about – from ideas that I conceived, or from ideas that I find fascinating from people that want to partner with us – it’s an incredible thing.”
