Wonder Woman‘s Gal Gadot has officially joined the cast of Dwayne Johnson‘s upcoming action-comedy titled Red Notice.
For the film, Johnson will again team up with Skyscraper and Central Intelligence writer and director Rawson Marshall Thurber, as well as the same producers from Skyscraper.
When all is said and done, Red Notice is said to be the first to give Johnson a $20 million paycheck. The fight for this film, and the bidding war that ensued, was hard-won. Universal secured the rights to the film in February. The massive success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle led to the escalation in the battle for Johnson’s next big action comedy.
Although little is known about the film, Variety notes that Johnson will play an Interpol agent who sets out to find and capture the world’s most elusive art thief.
Gadot is currently filming Wonder Woman 2, which will release in 2019.
Red Notice is set for release on June 12, 2020.
