With the release and success of Alien: Romulus in 2024, many companies have been partnering with the iconic horror series to bring new merchandise to the franchise. Continuing their partnership with the series, Funko continues to produce products for the series, even for Alien 3. 

Released in 1992, Alien 3 picks up where Aliens left off, with Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley crash-landing on a prison planet with no one to trust but herself. Unbeknownst to her, a new alien threat has made its way onto the planet as well, leaving her to figure out how to stop it once again. 

Collider reported that among the new additions announced for the Funko Pop! line is the alien featured in the film. Dubbed the “Runner Alien,” it’s shown on all fours, as it is depicted within the film. 

Also revealed was Funko’s recreation of when the Runner Alien was revealed to Ripley, cornering her in the medical wing of the prison. Collider also notes that this scene has become one of the most recognizable of the franchise, and has been commonly associated with the entire series. 

Although it is the first time they’ve tackled Alien 3, Funko has made Pop! figures from other films in the series, such as the alien itself from Alien, and even the queen from Aliens.
