‘Full House’ Creator Jeff Franklin Set To Produce Horror Film ‘Murder With The Stars’

Well known for creating the popular family sitcom Full House and its sequel series Fuller House, Jeff Franklin is branching into horror as the producer of the upcoming Murder with the Stars. Comedian Craig Shoemaker will co-produce and write the screenplay for director and lead actor Jonathan Silverman.

This project will be a reunion amongst the three friends, who have all worked in various comedies throughout the year. According to Shoemaker, the concept came to him several months ago, and he has been developing it ever since. Thanks to Silverman and Franklin’s help, “the creative process has unfolded effortlessly.” “It’s a killer team. In the case of this horror film, pun intended,” Shoemaker joked.

Murder with the Stars will be financed by Pelican Point Media, which has gained recognition for producing horror and comedy films. Recently, they gained recognition through the 2016 thriller Exposed, which follows Keanu Reeves as a hardened police detective investigating his partner’s mysterious death.

No plot details or release dates have been unveiled in this announcement, leaving many curious about the final result. Fangoria speculated that the film would be a horror comedy based on the team working on it. “Given the players involved here – Franklin, Silverman, and Shoemaker, all of whom have comedy backgrounds – and that title (which evokes nothing so much as Dancing with the Stars), we’re assuming that Murder with the Stars will be a high concept horror-comedy,” writer Scott Wampler noted.
