Disney is used to setting records when releasing trailers for highly anticipated blockbusters whether it be Star Wars or Infinity War. Just recently, they broke another record, this time for an animated movie. Frozen 2’s first trailer has gotten 116.4 million views in its first 24 hours of posting.
The record was previously held by Incredibles 2’s first trailer with 113.6 million views. The views most likely came from fans who were skeptical of a sequel to Frozen but are impressed by the different direction the new film is taking. Compared to trailers for Frozen, this one feels more like a grand adventure as opposed to a simple animated drama. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Twitter page celebrated by thanking their viewers for making the trailer in question reach a record-breaking viewership.
