Freedom! ‘Braveheart’ Slashes its Way Back to Theaters for 25th Anniversary!

The story of William Wallace is one that history knows well, even the film adaptation doesn’t quite get it right. Mel Gibson’s action-packed Braveheart enthralled audiences and critics alike and was a smash hit at the Box Office. Nominated for Ten Academy Awards and winning five in total, including Best Picture and Best Director for Gibson, Braveheart equally blends great story-telling, exciting battle sequences and exploring what life was like over seven-hundred years ago. In other words, Braveheart is a solid piece of Hollywood epic tales.

Now Turner Classic Movies and Fathom Events are bringing this iconic film back to the big screen for a special two-day event. Tickets are on sale now and will include a sneak peak at the sequel to Braveheart titled Robert the Bruce. So, don’t miss your chance to relive the glory days of battles, guts, glory and the quest for freedom. Braveheart is swinging back into theaters!

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
