Frankenstein has just won big at the Academy Awards. The Guillermo Del Toro directed film has received nine nominations at this year’s ceremony, having just won two. Costume designer Kate Hawley accepted the award for Best Costume Design and Mike Hill, Jordan Samuel, & Cliona Furey accepted the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling and acknowledged Jacob Elordi spending over 400 hours in the makeup chair.
Aside from these two wins, Frankenstein is still nominated in monumental categories including Best Supporting Actor for Elordi, Best Adapted Screenplay for Del Toro, Best Cinematography, and Best Picture among others. Frankenstein was distributed by streaming service Netflix. Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos was in shown to be in attendance at this years Oscars.
