Upcoming comedy Flock of Dudes, about a man who breaks up with his best friends in order to grow up, just added Hannah Simone from New Girl to the cast. She will be joining an interesting mix of talent including comedians Jeff Ross and Marc Maron (Almost Famous), Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect), Bryan Greenberg (How to Make it in America), Hannibal Buress (30 Rock), Tim Simons (Veep), Jamie Chung (The Hangover Part II), Kelen Coleman (Newsroom), Kumail Nanjiani (The Five-Year Engagement), Ray Liotta, and, making a return to the silver screen, Hilary Duff, whose part was originally to be played by Lea Michelle from Glee. The thirtysomething protagonist will be played by Chris D’elia (NBC’s Whitney), but other than that, detailed information on the characters has not been given out.
Flock of Dudes will be the feature directorial debut of Bob Castrone who has worked on shorts and TV series such as The Burn With Jeff Ross and Playing with Guns. He also co-wrote the script with Brian Levin and Jason Zumwalt. The trio have a history of collaboration starting with the 2007 TV series short Doing His Best James Dean and it looks like this will be their biggest project yet.
They are currently filming in LA, and the movie should be released in 2014.
