First Trailer Released For Tony Gilroy’s ‘Behemoth!’ Starring Pedro Pascal

Pedro Pascal as Alex Serian in 'Behemoth!'

The first trailer has been released for Behemoth!, the newest film from Tony Gilroy, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind Michael Clayton, the screenwriter of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and creator of Andor. The film is Gilroy’s first feature directorial effort since 2012’s The Bourne Legacy, and his first feature writing credit since 2018’s Beirut.

The film stars Pedro Pascal as Alex Serian, a cellist who returns to his hometown of Los Angeles to help compose music for various Hollywood productions and, in doing so, stirs up drama from his past. While not much is revealed in this first trailer, plot elements such as a tension between Alex’s brother and ex-girlfriend, played by Will Arnett and Oliva Wilde, respectively, and a romance subplot between Alex and Eva Victor’s character, can be glimpsed throughout.

In addition to the actors already mentioned, the film also stars Hank Azaria as Alex’s father. Additional cast members include Matthew Lillard, JoBeth Williams, Alexa Swinton, Margarita Levieva, Barry Livingston, Erik Griffin, Adam Rose, and Kaya Ralls. Searchlight Pictures is releasing the film. It is listed as “coming soon,” with a release date not yet known.

For now, those anticipating the film can view the first trailer, which can be viewed below:
