First Trailer Arrives for ‘The Light Between Oceans’

The first footage of The Light Between Oceans, new period drama starring current Oscar nominees Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs) and Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl) has arrived.

Set after World War I off the coast of Western Australian, the film centers around a lighthouse keeper (Fassbender) and his wife (Vikander) who happen upon an infant in an adrift rowboat. The couple raise the young child as their own. Derek Cianfrance, who previously directed the acclaimed Blue Valentine (2010) and The Place Beyond the Pines (2013), wrote and directed the feature based on M.L. Stedman’s best-selling novel. Oscar winner Rachel Weisz (Youth) co-stars.

The Light Between Oceans is set to release on September 2, 2016. Check out the trailer below:
