Fans have long awaited Tom Ford’s return to the silver screen, anxiously twiddling their thumbs for seven years since his directorial debut with A Single Man. For those lucky enough to catch it at the Venice Film Festival, Tom Ford made a splash with his sophomore feature, Nocturnal Animals. The hypnotic thriller snagged the Grand Jury Prize, as well as heaps of good reviews.
A short trailer has just been released for Nocturnal Animals, which teases the release of a full-length trailer tomorrow (also starting to become more common). Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Jake Gyllenhaal and Aaron Taylor-Johnson receive title cards intercut between distorting images. The tension-building trailer hints at the movie’s own plot, which follows Adams as an art gallery owner who is haunted by her ex-husband’s novel. Quickly turning into a psychological thriller, she interprets the book as a veiled threat and a symbolic revenge tale.
Watch the teaser below, and return tomorrow for the full-length trailer.
