First Official Poster for DC’s ‘Bird of Prey’ Starring Margot Robbie

After being the fan favorite of 2016’s Suicide SquadMargot Robbie returns as the iconic psychologist-turned-villain, Harley Quinn. This time however, she is going to be part of a new team in the upcoming DC film, Birds of Prey (And the Fabtabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). The first official poster was released for the upcoming film to give fans a taste of what’s to come.

Unsurprisingly, the poster has Harley Quinn front and center flaunting her new style. The poster also features the rest of the cast including Jurnee Diana Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress to name a few. The poster is a callback to classic cartoon knockouts with small birds (played by the actors) flitting around a dazed Harley Quinn. A small detail, a mini Harley Quinn with wings floating around her own head, hints at the insanity this film is said to contain.

This new poster certainly gives off the vibe that the film is going to be a wacky and colorful adventure with Quinn and her new allies. The bright colorful background and concept alone already tells you that this is going to be an over the top film. While no official trailer has been released online, a teaser trailer has been shown in front of screenings of It: Chapter 2.  With that in mind, it’s very likely that the trailer for Harley Quinn’s next adventure will probably surface online soon with this new poster released. As soon as the trailer hits the web, fans will get a better view of Harley Quinn’s wild antics in Birds of Prey.

The film is set for release February 7th, 2020.

Ryan Pineda: When it comes to film, animation, video games and other mediums, I can discuss for hours about how much on why certain films and animated media made me the person I am today. I adore the artistic merit that comes from a lot of pop-culture media and will definitely love to have a conversation about favorite movies any day! I have graduated in 2017 with a BA in Film and Television at the University of Arizona. Been passionate about writing about films due to always having an interesting outlook on the medium. Will always see a film and will definitely be sure to recommend it to someone that I know for a fact would love that movie. Not only that but will also give reasons for why I think that film did or did not work as a movie, and the same can go for other pieces of media like television, video games and especially animated projects.
