First Look At Shadow The Hedgehog And ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 3’ Posted On X

The Sonic the Hedgehog X (formerly Twitter) account gave fans their first look at a teaser for the third Sonic the Hedghog movie. In addition to a release date, the post also included a promotional image showing off fan favorite character Shadow the Hedgehog.

Paramount is already in production for the third installment in the series following the success of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which many fans of the franchise have attached themselves to. After the release of the teaser image, many more have flooded X to express their excitement for the upcoming sequel.

Ben Schwartz, who voices Sonic, spoke to ComicBook.com at the Renfield premiere and confirmed his participation in the upcoming movie. Schwartz said he knew little else about the details of the film, saying, “I don’t know anything about it. I know Jim Carrey said that he might retire. I hope that we all get to come back and do another one because I would love it. That’s one of my favorite characters, so my hope of all hopes is that all of us come back, and we get to make another one, and then we get to add a Shadow. I hope that it keeps going. I hope that I keep doing it because I love that. I love that franchise so much.”

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is set to be released on December 20, 2024.
