The long awaited sequel for Bill and Ted is finally done shooting. The cult classic series starting back in 1989, after struggling to get started, is finally finished. The story follows two musicians Ted Theodore Logan (Keanu Reeves) and Bill S. Preston Esquire (Alex Winter) as they rely on a time travel trip to learn history so they can pass their high school reports. The movie was beloved by fans and followed up immediately with a sequel in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.
None knew at the time that this would lead to the eventual start for Keanu’s stardom in Hollywood, but fans kept hope alive that a third film would eventually find its way to the big screen. With confirmation from Winter’s Twitter, the 28 year wait has come to an end for fans of the series.
No idea how this thing will do, but I do know that the years of hard work by the writers Chris Matheson and @ed_solomon, the vision of director Dean Parisot and the incredible cast and crew we were so lucky to assemble for this film, allowed us to make something very special. https://t.co/yRcTaT3JVl

There are high hopes that everyone working on the project is satisfied with the ending product, meanwhile fans are eager for its theatrical release.
Riding high is Keanu Reeves, who was a fresh face at the time of the first Bill and Ted film, but now is having a strong career resurgence with roles in the John Wick series, Toy Story 4, and Always Be My Maybe.
The cast also includes Samara Weaving and Bridgette Lundy-Paine and is directed by Dean Parisot. Bill and Ted’s sequel is expected for an August 2020 release.
